Ernie Joins Jan Tana Jet setter Ernie has joined forces with Jan Tana and is headed to Dallas, Texas this month to help tan and glaze the 2009 Europa competitors. A complimentary partnership, Ernie has been supporting Jan Tana unofficially for years. Now he is an official Jan Tana representative. This man never stops supporting the industry. The Elite Team Prepares for the 2009 IFBB North American Championships Ernie's Elite team members Judi Merrick and Nicole Rubidoux have been training hard for the upcoming competition in Cleveland, Ohio. The final weeks are upon us. Judi is expected to be in competition form for her first national show. Nicole is back in shape and ready for her 2009 debut after recovering from a recent surgery. Jackonsville Pro Figure Classic Results IFBB Pro Figure competitor Karen Mullarkey nabbed 15th place at the recent Jacksonville Pro Figure Classic. This was Karen's best showing on the pro circuit tour to date and we are excited to watch as the momentum continue in Houston on August 29th. Watch out for this rising star! View photos on MuscularDevelopment.com JULY 2009 Jacksonville Pro Figure Classic Ernie joins Karen on August 1st for the 2009 Jacksonville Pro Figure Classic. IFBB professional Karen Mullarkey will not rest until she reaches Olympia. With her eye on the prize, Karen has been working hard and seeing results. Stay tuned! Junior Nationals Results Ernie's Elite Team members Hannah Fox and Toniann Rotante competed in the 2009 NPC USA Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 24th and 25th. The past four weeks gave Hannah the time she needed to further sculpt her body and it paid off. Hannah placed 14th among a competitive group and one of the largest NPC USA events in history. Toniann worked her tail off and placed 8th in the Bikini division. Pictures will be posted soon. JUNE 2009 Junior Nationals Results Three members of Ernie's Elite Team competed in the NPC Junior National Championships on June 19th and 20th. While no one placed in the top five, each person reached a personal best and learned a lot from the experience. Hannah made her 2009 debut after taking several months to train and build more muscle. The competition fueled her fire to compete in the NPC Figure Championships in Las Vegas next month. Tammy and Toniann competed in the first-ever NPC Bikini division at the Junior Nationals in Chicago. Both looked fantastic and enjoyed being part of this momentous event. View photos from the Junior Nationals competition > Prepping For The Junior Nationals Ernie's Elite Team is headed to the Junior Nationals in Chicago. Heads up for Hannah Fox as she competes in her 2nd National show. Having placed 11th at the 2008 USA Championships Hannah is ready to test the waters. She has trained hard all year to make the improvements we hope is needed to capture that elusive IFBB Pro Figure card! Hannah is one of the strongest Elite Team Members. You go girl! “Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough” OG Mandan 1923-1996 Two bikini competitors are also headed to the Junior Nationals: Tammy and T. Tammy Hennington just placed 2nd at the Arizona Southwest Natural Championships and little “T” Tonnian Rotante placed 4th at the same show. This is the first year of NPC Bikini Division and we are hoping to land some IFBB Pro cards as our ladies look great. Let’s put our hands together for these ladies as they start off the year of competition! Boot Camp is Going Crazy There is a madman (aka Ernie) running it and it keeps getting harder and better all the time. If you’re looking for a hard, intense workout, then join us at boot camp Saturday mornings at 6am located at Horizon High School in Scottsdale. Ernie has added some new toys making boot camp ever harder, if that’s possible. It's a great way to build up your endurance and step up your cardio. MARCH 2009 The Natural Western USA Championships were held on March 28, 2009. Ten members of Ernie's Elite Team competed in the event. Here are the results: FIGURE Competition was fierce in all classes. Sonny was in peak condition and took 4th place. Veteran Robin missed the top five but vowed to get a trophy in the coming year if it kills her. We believe it. An improved Diana did not place in the top five but can reach her goal by continuing to work hard. Diane showed the crowd how great you can look at 50 years young and took home a 5th place trophy in the Masters.
MEN'S Mike fulfilled a dream to compete and place 3rd in the Master division. We hope to see more of Mike on stage at future competitions. Way to go!
BIKINI This weekend, the new NPC Bikini division debuted with seven of Ernie's Elite Team. Kudos to Jess and Cindy who dropped significant weight and reached personal goals by training and competing this weekend. Congratulations to all the bikini competitors.
SEPTEMBER 2008 Karen Mullarkey in the news! Bodybuilding Weekly caught up with Karen at the New York Pro Figure Championships on September 4 and 5. Read her interview here... JUNE 2008 5 of Ernie's Elite Team members placed in the top 5 of the NPC Max Muscle Arizona show on June 28th, 2008. Congrats to all! Karen Mullarky-Barringer placed 15th in the Houston Pro. She looked great and made her mark on the pro level. BIG NEWS!!! Karen Malarkey, one of Ernie's Elite, just went PRO at the New York, Team Universe Championships on July 14th, 2007. All eyes were on Karen as she took the stage. She had remarkable stage presence and was well overdue for her pro-card. Karen is aiming to compete at the Kentucky Pro Muscle Figure, which just happens to be her hometown, on November 10th. We are all so proud of her and looking forward to seeing her compete in her first pro show. Lynn Widdowson also turned Pro this year. Taking first place at the USA Championships in Las Vegas on July 29th, 2007. Lynn was very relaxed and you could tell by the way she graced the stage with confidence. Lucky Lynn will be traveling to Belize with her husband soon but once she gets back, she will let us know what her plans are for her first pro debut. Great job Lynn!
